Copy Tool

The Copy Tool option allows you to create a copy of an existing tool, and paste the copy in the current view or to another file.

Copy

To create a copy of a drawing tool:

• Right-click on a tool and select Copy from the popup menu, toolbar, the Edit menu, OR
• Left-click on a tool and select CTRL + C on the keyboard

This will copy the tool to the clipboard.

Paste

Now you can paste a copy of the tool in the current view, or to any other applicable view in another Dips file:

• Right-click on a tool and select Paste from the popup menu, toolbar, the Edit menu, OR
• Select CTRL + V on the keyboard.

If you paste the tool copy into the current view, it will exactly overlap the original tool. To move the copy to another location, click on the tool and drag the copy to another location in the view.

• To paste the tool copy to another file, first switch to the desired file/view, and select Paste.
