Collar Data
The Collar Data is used as a spatial reference point for the start of the borehole Traverse. The following borehole Traverse Types have Collar Data:
- Linear BH Oriented Core
- Linear BH Televiewer
- Curved BH Oriented Core
- Curved BH Televiewer
The collar data is entered in the Collar Data tab in the Traverse Information dialog.
- Select the Collar Data tab.
- Select the Add button to add the required number of rows. This should correspond to the number of Traverses defined under the Traverses tab.
- Enter the Traverse ID for each Traverse. The Traverse IDs should be the same as entered under the Traverses tab. You can use Copy/Paste to transfer the Traverse IDs.
- Enter the XYZ values of the collar locations (X = Easting, Y = Northing, Z = Elevation).
- Enter the Total Depth (length) of each Traverse.
NOTE: The Collar Data is used in the Dips analysis for computing the X, Y, Z locations of features recorded along a borehole traverse. See the Compute Locations topic for more information.
