Segmenter

You can divide any volume into multiple segments of parallel regions using the Segmenter option.

  1. Select the Geometry Geometry workflow tab.
  2. Select one volume geometry.
  3. Select the Segmenter segmenter option from the toolbar or the 3D Boolean sub-menu in the Geometry menu.
  4. A dialog should appear allowing you to edit:
    • Geometry: Selected volume
    • Path: Plane normals that are used to cut segments of your model (cutting direction)
    • Path Length: You can either select to divide your volume according to a Set number of segments or a Set segment length. Selecting the number of segments will automatically calculate the segment length and vice-versa.
  5. Select Segment to generate the segmented pieces of your volume.
