Mesh Overview

In EX3, a key feature is one-click meshing, where, if the user simply uses the suggested defaults, a quality surface mesh is automatically generated with just a click of a button. The options in the Mesh menu allow you to:

• Generate the boundary element mesh
• Customize the boundary element mesh
• Check the quality of the mesh

All volumes/joints/ground surface/field point planes are meshed automatically whenever the model enters a meshable state. This meshing is controlled by the global meshing options as well as any mesh refinements applied.
