Draw Smart Dimension
The Draw Smart Dimension 
in RocFall3 allows you to measure and display the distance between two points in the Viewport similar to dimension lengths with the added feature of smartly detecting line segments to dimension, as shown in the following figure.
To dimension the length:
- Select Draw Smart Dimension in the Annotate menu.
- Select a line segment using the mouse to measure its length. You can also select two points between which you would like to measure the distance. Enter the points graphically with the mouse, or enter x,y coordinates in the prompt line.
- As you move the mouse, the length of the line segment or between the two points will be displayed. When you are satisfied with the location of the dimension tool, click the mouse and it will be added to the Viewport.
TIP: The Snap options allow you to easily snap exactly to vertices, boundaries, or extension lines of vertices or boundaries.
