Printing and Page Setup

To print the current view:

  1. Select File > Print in the menu or click Print Print icon in the toolbar.

This opens the Print Preview window. From here, you can choose to Print and/or adjust your Page Setup.

  • Click Print to select the printer you would like to print on, make changes to the print orientation (portrait or landscape), or make paper/quality selections.
  • Click Page Setup to make changes to the print layout, company logo, and header/footer details.

      Page Setup

      Selecting Page Setup opens the Page Setup dialog. In this dialog, you can completely customize the page layout using the three tabs: Layout, Header and Footer.

      Changes made to the Page Setup will not be applied until you click OK.

      LAYOUT

      In the Layout tab, you can choose the:

      • Page size
      • Orientation of your document: Portrait or Landscape
      • Margins size

      HEADER

      Both the header and footer can be customized with your company logo and other information. You can choose to customize any of the pre-defined block designs, or you can do your own block design. Select the preferred design from the Available Designs drop-down. These designs include:

      • None - no header in printout.
      • Simple - only Project Title is displayed.
      • Detailed - Includes Logo, Project Title, Author, Company, Date, File Name, and Analysis.
        • Note that these fields are populated using the information entered in the Project Summary.
        • The Logo field can be customized with your own company logo by selecting Image > Set and clicking the Add button. This will add your logo to the Image drop down menu.
      • Custom - Add your own custom text by checking the Custom Text checkbox. Enter your own text or click Dynamic Text to select a value to be displayed (for example: Date Printed).

      FOOTER

      Footer customizing is done in the same way as the header (described above).

      DEFAULTS

      After customizing your print setup, you can use the Defaults option to save your current settings as the default. This dialog also allows you to restore the program default settings.
