Export Textured Geometry

The Export Textured Geometry option allows users to export textured geometry as an *.obj file. This feature is only available after assigning a texture to your slope surface. Textures can be assigned during the Import Terrain process, which allows users to assign their map image as a texture, or by using the Assign Texture to Surface option.

To export a textured geometry file:

  1. Select the geometry entity that contains the texture in the Visibility Tree.
  2. Select Geometry > Import/Export > Export Textured Geometry.
While *.obj files can contain both coordinates and texture maps, texture information is not included when exporting an *.obj file via the Export Geometry option. You must use the Export Textured Geometry option for texture map data to be included.
