Add Line Seeder

Line Seeders are used when you want to specify starting locations for falling rocks as a line segment.

If part of the seeder is below the surface then the rock's initial location is automatically moved onto the surface. An example of this is shown in Figure 1.

To add a line seeder:

Select: Seeders > Add Line Seeder Add Line Seeder icon

The following dialog will pop up:

In this dialog, you can assign a specific seeder property to the line seeder. You can also view/make changes to the seeder property by clicking on the pencil icon next to the property dropdown.

The Elevation (Z Value) section is used to define whether to have the line seeder either:

  • On Surface,
  • Height Above Surface - you will be prompted to specify distance
  • Absolute Value
  • Custom

To define the location of the line seeder, select the Add Points on Viewport to begin drawing the line seeder in any of the viewports.

Imprint from Slope After Adding

The Imprint from Slope After Adding option allows the user to better refine the shape of their seeder line by imprinting the slope shape into the line. Additional points are added where necessary and a consistent distance is maintained between the slope and the line.
