Export Dataset
The Export Dataset option in the Statistics menu allows the user to export raw data from a Probabilistic analysis in RocPlane to the Clipboard, a file, or to Excel.
Data
All available data from the analysis is initially selected for export (except Wedge Vertex Locations). If you do NOT wish to export a given dataset, clear the corresponding check box before exporting. If a dataset is grayed out, this means that no statistical distribution was defined for that dataset. See the Data Type topic for more information about Probabilistic Analysis data.
Copy
Select the Copy button to copy the selected datasets to the Windows clipboard. From the clipboard, the data can be pasted into other applications for further analysis or for reporting purposes.
Save
Select the Save button to save the selected datasets to a file. The Save As dialog will allow you to save the data in one of 3 different text file formats:
- A tab delimited text file (*.txt)
- A comma separated values (CSV) text file (*.csv)
- A space delimited text file (*.prn)
The three different formats are all plain ASCII text files, with different methods of delimiting the data in each row of the file.
Excel
Select the Excel button to export the data to Microsoft Excel. If you have the Excel program on your computer, Excel will be automatically launched, and the exported data will appear in a new Excel document.
