Mean Wedge

After a Probabilistic analysis is computed in RocPlane, the Mean Wedge is initially displayed. The Mean Wedge is the wedge corresponding to the mean probabilistic input data (i.e., the mean input values entered in the Input Data dialog).

Mean Wedge Results

In general, the results for the Mean Wedge will be slightly different from the average values of results generated by the probabilistic analysis.

For example: the safety factor of the Mean Wedge will not necessarily be equal to the average of all the wedge safety factors generated by the probabilistic analysis. This applies to all properties of the Mean Wedge (i.e., input data and analysis results). However, if the Number of Samples is large enough, the properties of the Mean Wedge should approach the average (mean) values of input data samples and output results generated by the probabilistic analysis.
