Axes Display

You can use the Axes option in RocPlane to toggle the display of coordinates axes in the Top, Front, and Side Views within the 3D Wedge View.

To toggle Axes on and off:

  • Select Axes on the toolbar or the View menu.

NOTE: The Axes option in the 2D Wedge View toggles on and off the display of the ruler at the left and bottom edges of the view.

NOTES:

  • The units of the axes correspond to the Units selected in the Project Settings dialog.
  • The origin (0, 0, 0) of the coordinate system is defined as the mid-point of the lowermost edge of the wedge on the slope face (i.e., the midpoint of the intersection line of the slope face and the failure plane).
  • Although a RocPlane model is not defined using absolute coordinates, the display of axes can help you estimate the dimensions of the wedge from various viewing angles.
