Moving the Wedge
In the RocPlane 3D Wedge View, you can move the wedge out of the slope in the Top, Front, and Perspective Views by clicking and dragging the mouse or by rotating the mouse wheel.
Moving the Wedge with the Left Mouse Button
To move the wedge with the left mouse button:
- Position the cursor over the wedge in any of the views.
The cursor changes to a vertical, two-way arrow symbol . - Click and hold the left mouse button and drag the mouse.
As you move the cursor up or down, the wedge slides up or down out of the slope.
NOTES:
- If your model does NOT have a Tension Crack, the wedge slides up or down along the Failure Plane.
- If your model has a Tension Crack, the wedge slides down along the Failure Plane, and up along the Tension Crack.
Using the Mouse Wheel + SHIFT
You can also move the wedge by rotating the mouse wheel while holding down the SHIFT key on the keyboard.
- To move the wedge upwards, rotate the mouse wheel forward.
- To move the wedge downwards, rotate the mouse wheel backwards.
NOTE: If you rotate the mouse wheel without holding down the SHIFT key, you will zoom the model in and out instead. See Zoom and Pan and RocPlane.
Resetting Wedge Movement
If you moved the wedge out of the slope, you can reset it to its default position using one of the following options:
- Select Reset Wedge Movement on the right-click menu or the View menu.
- Select Reset View on the right-click menu or the View menu (Reset View also resets zooming and rotation).
