Rotating the Model
You can rotate a RocPlane model in the Perspective View within the 3D Wedge View to view it at any angle.
To interactively rotate the model:
- Press and hold the left mouse button anywhere off the model in the Perspective View.
The cursor changes to a circular arrow symbol to indicate that you can rotate the model. - Keep the left mouse button pressed and move the cursor around.
The model is rotated according to the direction of movement of the cursor. - To exit the rotation mode, release the left mouse button.
The cursor reverts to the normal arrow. - Repeat the above steps to rotate the model for viewing at any angle.
NOTES:
- To reset the model to the default viewing angle (automatically determined by RocPlane), select Reset View on the View menu or the right-click menu. See Resetting the View in RocPlane for more help.
- The wedge can also be moved out of the slope (see Moving the Wedge in RocPlane). In combination with rotation, this allows complete flexibility in viewing the slope and wedge from all possible angles.
- Rotating the model only affects the Perspective View. For help on controlling the model in the Top, Front, and Side Views, also see Moving the Wedge in RocPlane.
