Import Overview

RocSlope2 allows users to read project files from Rocscience's original Wedge, Planar, and Toppling analysis programs using the different Import options:

• Import From SWedge
• Import From RocPlane
• Import From RocTopple

Files from these three programs can be imported to a .rocslope2 file with a single Analysis Method corresponding to the original file type. For example, importing an SWedge project file will produce a .rocslope2 file with only a Wedge Analysis Method enabled. Project Settings from the original file will be mapped to the new .rocslope2 file with the Use True Dip option selected for the Orientation Definition. Results of imported files in RocSlope2 should produce the same geometry and factor of safety as the original program. While some nomenclature and interfaces differ in RocSlope2, the following parameters from the original programs all have equivalents in the models and computations:
