Slope Height
Slope Height in RocSlope2 is defined as the vertical distance from the base of the slope to the crest of the slope, or the intersection line of the two slope planes.
If the crest of the slope is not horizontal, the Slope Height is measured from the point of intersection of Joint plane 1 with the crest. This is shown as the distance H1 in the following figure.
The Slope Height is required input data for a RocSlope2 model and determines the maximum wedge size which can be formed for a given set of joint orientations.
To define the Slope Height:
- Select Home > Slope > Slope Geometry
- The Slope Geometry dialog will open. Here, the Slope Height can be defined for the Slope Face.
- Select Apply to see the updated value take effect on the model. Once all of the desired values have been updated, select OK to close the dialog and save the changes.
