Simple Bolt Force

With the Simple Bolt Force model in RocSlope2, the specified force is always applied to the wedge in the direction of the Bolt Orientation.

• The force is applied regardless of the orientation of the bolt with respect to the wedge planes, and it does not matter whether the bolt intersects a shearing plane or a dilating plane.
• The full force is always used (i.e., Bolt Orientation Efficiency is not specified).
• Shear force is not considered.
• The orientation of the force is always in the direction of the bolt.

The Simple Bolt Force model is useful if you simply want to apply a known force to a wedge in a known direction. This could be used to model support, or an arbitrary point load applied to a wedge.
