Annotate Overview
The options in the Annotate menu allow you to add a variety of drawing objects to the model view, to customize the view for screen captures, measure distances and angles, etc.
All objects added to a view with the Annotate menu options are referred to as "Annotation Tools" in the RocSlope3 documentation.
Adding Annotation Tools
The Annotation Tools can be added to any of the Viewports. The Annotation Tools include the following options:
- Arrow
- Dimension Length
- Dimension Angle
- Label
- Textbox
- Smart Dimension
- Overlay Tables
Editing Annotation Tools
After adding Annotation Tools to a Viewport, they can be easily formatted, deleted, or hidden. To edit annotation tools, you can use the following options:
- Visibility pane
- Properties pane
- If you right-click on a drawing tool, the popup menu will display applicable editing options
See the Edit Annotations topic for more information.
Saving Annotation Tools
Annotation Tools are automatically saved with the RocSlope3 file (i.e., when you select the Save or Save As options in the File menu), and will automatically re-appear when you open the file.
Undo/Redo
The Undo/Redo options apply to Annotation Tools as well as modelling changes. Therefore you can easily undo/redo changes to the Annotation Tools, without having to use the edit options.
