Import Slide3 File
The Import Slide3 File option allows you to import an Slide3 file into the RocSlope3 file.
To import an Slide3 file:
- Select: File > Import > Import Slide3 File
- You will see an Open File dialog, allowing you to select a file. Select and open the desired Slide3 file (supports extension with: *.slide3m2, *.slide3dmodel).
- After importing the Slide3 file, you should verify that the geometry, materials, supports, etc. have been correctly imported.
The following entities and properties can be imported:
- Geometry (any entities and assigned Material Properties)
- Material Properties
- Unit Weight
- Groundwater
- Groundwater
- Boreholes
- Borehole Water Table and Borehole entities and borehole properties defined in Groundwater > Borehole Manager
- Water Table entities from Groundwater > Add Water Surface
- Piezometric Surface entities and properties defined in Groundwater > Add Water by Location
- Water Grid entities and properties defined in Groundwater > Add Water Pressure Grid
- Boreholes
- Loading
- Seismic Loading
- Load entities from Loading > Add Load
- Surface Load entities from Loading > Add Loads to Selected
- Support
- Bolt Properties defined in Support > Define Bolt Properties
- Bolt Properties are not completely equivalent, so can only import the following types:
- End Anchored is like Mechanically Anchored
- Force Application
- Anchor Capacity
- Default values are used for missing parameters:
- Tensile Capacity
- Plate Capacity
- Use Bolt Orientation Efficiency = False
- Use Shear Capacity = False
- Force Application
- Grouted Tieback is like Grouted Dowel
- Force Application
- Use Bolt Orientation Efficiency = False
