Create Plane
- Select the Geometry workflow tab.
- Select the Geometry > 3D Primitive Geometry > Plane
- A dialog should appear. You can select a preset plane using the XY, YZ, or ZX plane options at the top of the dialog.
- In the Plane Definition section, you must define the Origin XYZ coordinates of the plane.
- In the Plane Orientation section, you can choose to define the plane's orientation using a Normal Vector (default) or Dip/Dip Direction. You can also rotate the plane by specifying an angle in Rotation Around Normal.
- You can center the plane and adjust its size around another geometry by selecting the geometry using the Visibility pane and selecting Fit Plane to Selected in the Plane Size section. You can also change the Width and Height of the plane in this section.
- The size of the plane can also be defined manually using Freehand manipulation tool. Hover over the corner of a plane and then use your mouse to drag it to adjust the size.
- Lastly, you must define the Role of your geometry.
- Click OK to generate the plane.
