Simplify Triangulation

When the user imports a triangulated mesh with a large number of triangles, they can simplify the mesh and reduce the number of triangles using the Simplify Triangulation option.

This process can be carried out within the Import Geometry process before having to add mesh to the model, or after import by selecting Geometry > Surface Triangulation Tools > Simplify Triangulation

If simplifying during the Geometry Import, select the Post-Processing step at the end of the geometry import. The validation and cleaning operations are also available in this last step.

If simplifying after the geometry import:

1. Select Geometry > Surface Triangulation Tools > Simplify Triangulation
2. Select an option for the Simplification Scheme.
3. Select an option for the Simplification Level. The Custom option allows user-defined values either by percentage or by triangle count.
4. Select OK.
