Support Pressure Overview
Support Pressure in RocSlope3 is applied in a similar manner to Area Loads. A Uniform or Non-Uniform Support Pressure can be applied to the slope surface to represent any type of average support conditions. The main difference between Loads and Support Pressure in RocSlope3 is:
- Support Pressure is applied as an Area Load, whereas Loads can be applied as a point, line, or area load.
- Support Pressure can be applied as an Active or Passive force in factor of safety computations, whereas Loads are always treated as Active.
Support Pressure Geometry and Extents
Support Pressure can be applied using the Add Support Pressure option.
