Moving Bolts

After adding a bolt to a RocTopple model, you can graphically move it to a new location on the slope with the Move option available on the right-click popup menu. This allows you to change the installation location of a bolt on the slope surface without changing its angle or length.

To graphically move a bolt:

  1. Right-click on a bolt (in the 2D View) and select Move Bolt from the popup menu.
The slope surface is highlighted and, as you move the mouse, the bolt follows the mouse movement.
  2. Graphically move the bolt to the desired location on the slope surface.
  3. Click the left mouse button to fix the bolt in its new location.

NOTE: You can also move a bolt by changing the Installation location in the Edit Bolt dialog. See Editing Bolts in RocTopple for details. For help on moving the bolt vertex, see Moving the Bolt Vertex in RocTopple.
