Editing a Phreatic Surface
If a phreatic surface (water table) has been added to a model, you can easily edit, move, or delete it using the menu options or right-click shortcuts described below.
Edit Coordinates
The Edit Coordinates option is available on the Water menu or the popup menu when you right-click on the water table. When you select Edit Coordinates, the x,y coordinates of the water table vertices are displayed in a mini-spreadsheet dialog. This dialog allows you to edit, add, delete, import, export, copy, and paste coordinates. When you select OK in the dialog, the water table is updated using the latest x,y coordinates.
Move Boundary
To graphically move the entire boundary to a new position, right-click on the water table and select Move Boundary from the popup menu. Left click anywhere in the view to create a reference point. As you move the mouse, the boundary will move with it. When the water table is in the desired position, left-click the mouse again to fix the water table in the new location and exit the move boundary option.
Move Vertex
To graphically move an individual vertex of the water table, right-click directly on a water table vertex and select Move from the popup menu. As you move the mouse, the vertex and adjacent segments of the water table move with it. When the vertex is at the desired position, left-click the mouse to fix the vertex in the new location and exit the move vertex option.
Delete Boundary
To delete the water table, select Delete Phreatic Surface on the Water menu or right-click on the water table and select Delete Boundary. The water table is immediately deleted.
Delete Vertex
To graphically delete an individual vertex of the water table, right-click directly on a water table vertex and select Delete from the popup menu. The water table vertex is immediately deleted and the water table is redrawn with the remaining vertices.
