Split
If you want to divide a volume using another volume or surface without removing any region as done in the Subtract and Intersect options, you can use the Split option.
- Select the Geometry workflow tab.
- Select at least two geometry volumes or one volume and one surface. All volumes must intersect each other to be able to split any volume. If you select one volume and one surface, ensure the surface cuts through the entire volume. Ensure the entire entity is selected for each added volume or surface.
- Select Geometry > 3D Boolean > Split or the Split icon from the toolbar.
- A dialog should appear to allow you to select the Volume to Split and the Splitter used to divide the volume to split. You can modify the selections if necessary.
- All volumes on the Volume to Split that are created using the Splitter will be created when you press OK.
The Split option cannot be used on External volume entities.
