Boreholes

The Boreholes tab of the Display Options allows users to specify the surface reconstruction method and visualization of boreholes in RocTunnel3.

Surface Reconstruction

The Surface Reconstruction option allows user to select the interpolation method used between boreholes to construct the surface and material layers. These methods include:

• Inverse distance
• Thin-Plate Spline
• Chugh
• Local Thin-Plate Spline
  
• Linear/Triangulation
• Gaussian
• Multi Quadratic
• Polyharmonic Spline
• Compactly Supported
  

Users can also specify the resolution used for the selected interpolation method, including:

• Course
• Standard
• Fine
  

Display

The Display option allows users to select the symbol used to visualizing the position of the borehole on the model surface. Users can also customize the color of this symbol.
