Export Tools

The Export Tools option allows you to export drawing tools from the current RS2 file to a .p2i file.

The tools can then be imported into other RS2 files using the Import Tools option.

To export tools:

1. Select Export Tools from the Export sub-menu of the File menu.
2. You will see the Export Tools dialog. Choose Export All if you want to export all drawing tools, or choose Export Selected Only if you want to export only selected drawing tools. Select OK.
3. If you chose Export All (in Step 2) you will see a Save As dialog. Enter a filename and all drawing tools will be saved to a .p2i file.
4. If you chose Export Selected Only (in Step 2), you will first be prompted to select the drawing tools that you wish to export. Use the mouse to select the desired drawing tools. When you are finished selecting, press Enter or right-click and select Done Selection. You will see a Save As dialog. Enter a filename and the selected drawing tools will be saved to a .p2i file.

NOTE:

• The tools saved in a .p2i file can be imported into other RS2 files using the Import Tools option.
• Tools can also be imported directly from RS2 .fez files using Import Tools. In general, it is not necessary to export a .p2i file, unless you wish to save the tools with a different filename.
