RS2 Interpret
The RS2 program consists of 3 program modules:
- MODEL
- COMPUTE
- INTERPRET
INTERPRET is the post-processing module used for data visualization and interpretation of the RS2 analysis results. Data Contours can be viewed (e.g. stress, displacement, strength factor), and results can be displayed on the model or graphed for material queries, bolts, liners, joints etc.
MODEL, COMPUTE and INTERPRET will each run as standalone programs. They also interact with each other as illustrated in the schematic below:
- COMPUTE and INTERPRET can both be started from within MODEL.
- COMPUTE must be run on a file before results can be analyzed with INTERPRET (red arrow)
- MODEL can be started from INTERPRET.
Auto Update in RS2 Interpret
As mentioned, RS2 Interpret is used AFTER a model has been computed. Thereafter, if changes are made in the model, and being re-computed, the new results will be automatically updated to RS2 Interpret. This explains the auto update characteristic of RS2 Interpret.
Results that will be auto updated to RS2 Interpret includes:
- Data Contours
- Charts (results displayed in the chart window, generated from the Graph menu)
- Log files
- Reports (created by the Report Generator option)
