Temperature Grid
A Temperature Grid in RS2 is a user-defined grid of temperature distribution over a region in the model.
- A Temperature Grid is created with the Temperature Grid option in the RS2 Model program.
- Temperature Grids can only be defined in if the Thermal Analysis is enabled in Project Settings.
- The defined Temperature Grid can be applied as the static temperature of the model if Thermal Method = Static Temperature. It can be applied as the initial temperature of the model if Thermal Method = Finite Element Analysis. See the Temperature Grid topic for details.

Display of Temperature Grid
After computation, by default, the define Temperature Grid will display in RS2 Interpret program. Each grid data point in a Temperature Grid will be displayed by a yellow triangle in the model.
The display of the Temperature Grid can be turned on or off under the thermal tab in the Display Options dialog or with the toolbar shortcut.
