Thermal Results Overview
The options for viewing thermal analysis results in RS2, are only applicable if you have performed a finite element thermal analysis (i.e. Thermal Method = Finite Element Analysis in the RS2 Model program).
If your Thermal Method = Static Temperature, then only contour results and Temperature Grid will be available.
Finite Element Thermal Analysis
If you have computed a finite element groundwater seepage analysis, then you will be able to view the following groundwater analysis results in RS2 Interpret:
- you will be able to plot contours of thermal data such as Temperature, Thermal Flux, Thermal Gradient, Thermal Conductivity, Thermal Specific Heat, and Thermal Unfrozen Water Content
- Flow Lines or Iso-Lines can be added to the contour plots
- Thermal Flow Vectors, Thermal Boundary Conditions, and Temperature Grid can be displayed
- Heat Transfer Section results can be displayed and plotted
The Thermal Boundary Conditions, Temperature Grids, and Heat Transfer Sections can be turned on or off under the thermal tab in the Display Options dialog or with the toolbar shortcut.
