Material Function Tool

This tool (adapted from Slide2) is available in RS2 for materials defined using shear normal functions and generalized anisotropic functions. It is particularly useful when printing out hard copies of models with materials defined using functions. It allows users to create a graph of the function of a material such that, when the model is printed, the functions of the materials are visible.

When a shear normal function or a generalized anisotropic function is used to define a material in RS2, the Material Function tool will become available for the appropriate materials. When you define the tool, you will be able to select which material it represents; this selection can be altered by right clicking on the graph, then selecting the desired material. If there is only one valid material, the tool will simply draw this material.
