Power Spectrum can be used to refine the inputted dynamic load function to a given frequency range.
To use the power spectrum filtering:
- Ensure that you have entered a load to time plot using the Define Dynamic Loads option.
- Within the Define Dynamic Load by Time dialog, enable the Power Spectrum checkbox option and select the Define button beside it.
- A Define Power Spectrum dialog should appear allowing you to set the minimum and maximum frequency values to filter your data points.
- Select Reset Min/Max to find the global minimum and maximum frequencies of your entire data set.
- Select Show Chart to plot the function in the chart area at the right.
- Select OK to accept the filtered data.
- The filtered data will be automatically inputted and displayed to the Filtered Points tab in the Define Dynamic Load Force by Time dialog.
- You can use the Export option to export the data to a text file. You cannot import data points as filtered points.
- Select OK while having the Filtered Points tab selected to use these points as your inputted load function.
