Properties Pane

The Properties Pane can be used to define or edit the properties of the selected entity. These properties include the following options:

Roles

The Role is the Entity type (Geology, Excavation, Construction, Displacement/Restraint, etc). Note that Geometry entities can have the following three types of roles. They can all be modified or used to modify other geometry entities with some distinctions (see the Geometry section for more details on modifying geometry). The three types of roles are:

• Construction: Will not be included in the External volume or be meshed.
• Excavation: Will be automatically visible in the Excavation workflow tab and hidden in other tabs. Can be part of the External volume that is meshed.
• Geology: Will be automatically visible in the Geology workflow tab and hidden in other tabs. Can be part of the External volume that is meshed.

Applied Property

This field indicates the Property applied to the entity. Use the drop down menu to change the applied property.

Grouping

Use the drop down to assign an entity to a specific Group. Click Edit to open the Define Groups dialog.

Transparency

Use the slider to adjust the transparency of the selected entity.

View Options

Additional view options for the entity.
