Define Hydraulic Properties

The Define Hydraulic Properties option is used to specify the groundwater/hydraulic parameters for each material if you are considering pore pressure in your RS3 analysis (i.e. using Phreatic Surfaces, Steady State finite element seepage analysis, or Transient finite element seepage analysis).

To define hydraulic properties:

  1. Select the Groundwater workflow tab Groundwater workflow tab
  2. Select Define Hydraulic Properties Define Hydraulic Properties from the toolbar or the Groundwater menu. This will open the Material Properties dialog to the Hydraulics tab.

TIP: the Hydraulics tab can also be accessed directly from the Material Properties dialog.

The options available in the Hydraulics tab depend on the Groundwater Method specified in the Project Settings dialog. See the following topics for details:
