Define Liner Properties
To define liner properties:
- Select the Support workflow tab
- Select Define Liners Properties from the toolbar or the Liners sub-menu of the Support menu.
- You will see the Define Liner Properties dialog with a list of currently defined liners at the left of the dialog.
- To create a new liner select the Add button, or choose an existing liner from the list at the left of the dialog.
- Choose a Liner Type and enter required input parameters. As listed below, three different liner types are available. See the link for more details of each liner type.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 as required to define different liners.
- Click OK to apply and exit the dialog. Now individual liners are defined.
- Proceed to the Define Lining Composition option to construct lining sets from defined individual liners.
- If liner interfaces will be included in the lining sets, prior to step 8, you can define liner interface properties with the Define Joint Properties option.
You can also right-click on the viewing window and select Define Liner Properties from the menu.
For multi-stage models, the properties can be staged by assigning a stage factor. See the Stage Liner Properties topic for more details.
In RS3, liners need to be defined as individual liners first (Define Liner Properties option), then add to lining sets (Define Lining Composition option), and apply to the model lastly (Add Lining option).
