Import / Export
Various import / export options are available depending on the Display Mode.
Import Features
The following provides a summary of all import features available in Cross-Section Designer. To import a file, use the Import menu on the top toolbar:

Ground Surface Profile
Downloads estimated ground surface elevations at 100 points along the centerline of cross-section, and adds it to the model. | - | ✓ | - |
Polyline Path
Creates a new cross-section by importing latitude, longitude data from a CSV file. | ✓ | - | - |
Polyline / Polygon
Creates a polyline or polygon by importing x, y data from a CSV file. | - | ✓ | - |
Export Features
The following provides a summary of all export features available in Cross-Section Designer. To export the model, use the Export menu on the top toolbar:

Google Earth (*.KML, *.KMZ) Exports the model to Google Earth format. User can select which component(s) should be exported (i.e. boreholes, cross-sections, etc). | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |

Strata Design Polygons (*.JSON) Exports the list of all strata polygons (for all cross-sections in the project) and boreholes data to a proprietary JSON format. The coordinates of vertices are provided in both 2D and 3D format. | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
GL Transmission Format (*.glTF) Exports the entire 3D model to glTF format. This file can be imported into most 3D graphic design software. | - | - | ✓ |
