Categorize Pattern
If you have ungrouped a pile pattern and wish to regroup the pile pattern, or you wish to create a new pattern from individual piles, you can do so using the Categorize Pattern feature.
Individual piles can be grouped in a pile pattern by selecting Piles > Categorize 
and selecting the desired piles with your mouse.
A dialog will appear prompting you to select the pile whose properties will be used as the template for all the piles in the new pile pattern.
