PIPE PILE - OPEN END

The following are required for the open-end pipe pile:

  • Diameter of Pile - outside diameter
  • Shell Thickness - wall thickness

CONCRETE PILE

The input required for a concrete pile is the Side of Square Section.

PIPE PILE CLOSE-ENDED, TIMBER PILE, RAYMOND AND MONOTUBE

The only input required for these cross-sections is the pile diameter

Note:

  • Any cross section can be made tapered in the Pile type Editor Except for H-Pile
  • Monotubes can be modeled (similar to v3.005) by selecting Pipe Pile – Closed End
  • With reference to chart 2.1.1.3, of the theory manual:
    • The uniform section of Pile-Pipe closed end will use curve a
    • The tapered section of Pile-Pipe closed end will use curve g
    • The uniform section of a Raymond pile will use curve d
    • The tapered section of a Raymond pile will use curve e
