Graph Pile Spring Constants

The Graph Pile Spring Constants option allows users to view graphs of each spring constant against the load at each step.

After computing a pile with the Simplified Spring Constants option enabled, right-click on the pile and select Graph Pile Spring Constants (or select Results > Other > Graph Pile Sprint Constants).

The spring constants are carried out based on the inputs entered in the Simplified Spring Constants Settings dialog.

Up-to 5 graphs are shown:

  • Shear X vs. Shear X / Displacement X
  • Shear Y vs. Shear Y / Displacement Y
  • Moment YZ vs. Moment YZ / Rotation X
  • Moment XZ vs. Moment XZ / Rotation Y
  • Axial Force vs. Axial Force / Displacement Z

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS

The following customization options can be found on the left sidepane of the Chart view:

  • Chart Controls - This is where marker and line options, legend display options, font options and axis options are customized. These customizations apply to both the right and left graphs.
  • Series Options - This is where the graph color, marker type and marker size can be customized for each set of results.
  • Vertical Axis Options - The vertical axis of each individual graph can be customized here in terms of scaling.
  • Horizontal Axis Options - The horizontal axis of each individual graph can be customized here in terms of scaling.
