Dry Stiff Clay
The following material properties need to be defined (Welch and Reese, 1972):
- Strain Factor (E50) - strain corresponding to 1/2 the maximum principal stress difference (typical values below)
- Undrained Shear Strength
Diameter of the pile and depth into the soil have a direct impact as well. See the Lateral Pile Theory Manual for more information.
