Seismic
If the selected design standard considers seismic loading, you can select Seismic analysis, which will automatically be computed alongside the regular static analysis.

Depending on the selected design standard, you may see a subset of the following options (the fields that are not applicable to the selected design standard are hidden):
- kh: Horizontal acceleration coefficient (expressed as a ratio of g = 9.81 m/s2)
- kv: Vertical acceleration coefficient (expressed as a ratio of g = 9.81 m/s2)
- Use separate kh value for external analysis: Allows you to specify a distinct value of kh to be used specifically external analysis,
- kh(ext): The value of kh to use during external analysis, if toggled
- A: Specified horizontal peak ground acceleration (expressed as a ratio of g = 9.81 m/s2)
- d (seismic): The lateral deflection that the retaining wall can be designed to withstand during a seismic event
As the British Standard does not address seismic
loading, no seismic analysis options are available when the BS 8006-1
design standard is selected.
