Units
The Units of Measurement for RSWall models are specified in the Units tab of the Project Settings dialog.

You may choose Metric or Imperial units. Within these two options, the selection of Stress Units determines the units of length, force, stress and unit weight, for all program input and output as summarized below.
Units | Length, Force, Stress, Unit Weight |
Metric, stress as MPa | meters, MN, MPa, MN/m3 |
Metric, stress as kPa | meters, kN, kPa, kN/m3 |
Metric, stress as tonnes/m2 | meters, tonnes, tonnes/m2, tonnes/m3 |
Imperial, stress as tons/ft2 | feet, short tons (2000 lbs), tons/ft2, tons/ft3 |
Imperial, stress as ksf | feet, kips, ksf, kips/ft3 |
Imperial, stress as psf | feet, lbs, psf, lbs/ft3 |
The Units should always be chosen at the start of modelling since all program input is determined by the Units setting.
If you change the Units after you start modelling, you will receive a warning message that existing values will be converted to new units. In general, this is not recommended and may lead to errors during unit conversion.
