Define Groundwater
If groundwater needs to be considered during the analysis, you can configure the water table for each wall segment using this the Define Groundwater dialog.
- Select Soil > Groundwater > Define Groundwater

Include water table
Select this checkbox this to define a water table for the current wall segment.
Water Profile
Constant
Input the water elevation which will be constant throughout the wall section (both behind and in front of the wall).
Differential
Input the backslope and front face water elevations. Note that seepage is not considered in the analysis, and the hydrostatic forces will be calculated using static assumptions.
Infiltrates reinforced zone
For wall segments with reinforcements, toggling this option places the water table either at the base of the wall directly below the reinforced zone (to account for proper drainage) or inside the reinforced zone at the elevation of the backslope water.
Apply groundwater to
- All segments in the current wall
- Current segment only (Section 1)
Use this option to apply the current settings to either all wall segments in the current wall or the currently selected wall segment only.
