Front Face Topography
The Front Face Topography defines the terrain elevation profile in front of a wall segment. Each wall segment should have its front face topography defined. By default it is set to a flat, infinite terrain.
Terrain profile
The following options are available:
- Infinite
- Broken
- User-defined
Infinite

Slope Angle: Defines a constant slope angle behind the wall (input zero degrees for a flat profile)
Broken

You define a broken backslope using the following parameters:
- x1: the distance behind the wall before the slope starts.
- x2: the horizontal run of the slope.
- Defined by slope angle: input an angle for the slope.
- Defined by y1: input a vertical depth for the slope instead of an angle.
User-defined
Users can define a user-defined topography using the table whereby X is the horizontal distance behind the top of the wall and Y is the vertical depth below the ground elevation at the front face of the wall.
Note that the X values must be entered in ascending order.

Embedment Depth
Enter the embedment depth at the front face of the wall. The terrain profile will start at this position.
Consider passive resistance
Use this option to specify whether passive resistance is considered during the computations. If not, it will simply be displayed in the model but (conservatively) neglected from the calculations.
Apply to
- All segments in the current wall
- Current segment only (Section 1)
Use this to apply the current setting to either all wall segments in the current wall or the currently selected segment.
