Define Wall Units
Geometrical Parameters
Modular walls
For Modular wall units, you can define the following block parameters:
- Block height
- Block depth
- Block width
- Center of gravity
- Unit weight
Wrap-around walls
If the wall type is Segmental, you can also select Type = Wrap-around to model a wrap-around wall.
- When defining a wrap-around, you only need to specify the height of the layer.
- You can then assign this wall unit to the wall section profile, where it can be assigned to multiple layers to make up the height of the wall.
Gabion walls
For gabion walls, the wall units represent gabion baskets.
- Basket height
- Basket depth
- Basket width
- Unit weight
Shear Strength Parameters
For internal sliding, the shear strength of the interface between adjacent layers of wall units is assumed to take any of the following functions:
Constant
Input a constant shear strength.
Linear
- Ï„min is the minimum shear strength
- Ï„max is the maximum shear strength
- λ is the interface shear angle
Bilinear
- Ï„min is the minimum shear strength
- Ï„max is the maximum shear strength
- Ï„tangent is the tangent strength
- λ1 is the interface shear angle corresponding to the first line segment
- λ2 is the interface shear angle corresponding to the second line segment
