Auto Compute
The Auto Compute option allows you to the automatically compute the results of Point Queries, Line Queries, and Field Point Grids.
Automatic compute can occur at two different points in the modelling process:
- After adding a Point Query, Line Query or Field Point Grid
- After editing any aspect of the model
To turn the Auto Compute option ON/OFF:
- Select the Compute drop down arrow from the Home or Results menu.
- Toggle the Auto Compute
option ON/OFF.
This will change the Auto Compute settings for the current file only, while the file is open (i.e. Auto Compute status is not saved when you close the file).
Default Settings
If you want to make the current Auto Compute settings the default settings for the program:
- Select File > Preferences
- Check (or uncheck) the box for Enable Autocompute for New Models to turn this option ON/OFF as the program default.
- Click OK.
