Add Query Plane
A Query Plane allows you to obtain analysis results along any user-defined plane through your soil profile. The results are displayed directly on the plane.
There are four different types of planes: XY Plane, XZ Plane, YZ Plane, and 3-Point Plane.
To add an XY Plane:
- Select XY Plane from the Results tab.
- Enter the z-coordinate in the command line and hit Enter, or specify the plane graphically in the 3D View.
The same procedure is followed to specify an XZ Plane or a YZ Plane.
To add a 3-Point Plane:
- Select 3-Point Plane from the Results tab.
- Enter the first vertex [x,y,z] in the command line, or specify the location graphically.
- Repeat step 2 for the second vertex. When moving your mouse before entering the second vertex location, a line is drawn between the first vertex and the mouse location.
- As you move the mouse now, a plane is formed between the first two vertices and the mouse location. Enter the third vertex graphically or with x,y,z-coordinates.
- Any Query Plane can be moved by left-clicking and dragging the plane.
- To lock the location of the plane, right-click and select Lock Plane.
- To zoom in on the plane, right-click and select Zoom to Plane.
- To show the materials on a particular plane only, right-click on that plane and select Draw Materials on Plane.
