Plane

To generate a rectangular Plane geometry:

  1. Select the Geometry geometry workflow tab workflow tab.
  2. Select the Plane plane icon option from the 3D Primitive Geometry option from the toolbar or sub-menu in the Geometry menu.
  3. A dialog should appear. In the Plane Definition section, you can use the preset XY, YZ, or ZX plane options to define your plane Normal or enter the xyz components of the normal. You must also define a plane Origin.
  4. The size of the plane can be defined by entering width and height, centred around the origin. Or you can centre the plane and adjust its size around another geometry by selecting the geometry using the Visibility pane and selecting Fit Plane to Selected in the Plane Size section.
  5. Define the Role of geometry (Geology, Excavation or Construction).
  6. Press OK to accept the changes and generate the Plane.
