Add Weak Layer Surface

The Add Weak Layer Surface option allows you to create a weak layer surface by selecting existing geometry.

To add a weak layer surface:

1. Select Faces Selection as the Selection Mode to add geometry faces to generate the weak layer surface. Select Entity Selection as the Selection Mode to add entire surface geometry to generate the weak layer surface.
   If you select multiple surfaces or faces that share edges, the program will attempt to merge the geometry to form the weak layer surface.
2. Select the Add Weak Layer Surface option from the Weak Layers sub-menu in the Materials menu.
3. In the Add Weak Layer by Surface dialog, enter:
• Name
• Material property type (this will define the strength properties of the surface)
• Choose the Surface
You can select "Suppress on creation" to exclude the weak layer from the analysis while keeping its geometry in the model.
4. Select OK to generate the Weak Layer Surface.
