Sidebar
The Sidebar in SWedge is the vertical panel on the right side of the SWedge application window. The Sidebar displays a summary of analysis results in the Wedge Information panel.
Hiding/Showing the Sidebar
To hide the Sidebar (for example, to maximize the viewing area of your model on the screen):
- Click the mouse on the Show/Hide button (the narrow vertical button) at the middle of the inner edge of the Sidebar. This will hide (minimize) the Sidebar.
- To re-display the Sidebar, just click this button again (it will remain visible at the edge of the SWedge application window if the Sidebar is minimized).
Re-sizing the Sidebar
The default width of the Sidebar should always be suitable to display the buttons and other options which are available in the Sidebar. However, if you wish, you can increase or decrease the width of the Sidebar, by clicking and dragging the inner vertical edge of the Sidebar:
- If you hover the mouse cursor over the inner vertical edge of the Sidebar, the cursor will change to a left/right arrow symbol.
- When you see this symbol, you can click and drag the edge of the Sidebar to any desired width.
You should not normally need to change the width of the Sidebar. However, you may sometimes find this useful if you are trying to adjust the width of the view, for example, for screen capture purposes.
Copying Sidebar Data
If you right-click in the wedge information panel and select Copy from the popup menu, this will copy the contents of the Sidebar to the clipboard. From the clipboard, you can paste the information into a word processing application. Only the currently displayed contents of the wedge information panel will be copied, according to the current selections in the Wedge Information Filter dialog.
