Slope Properties Overview

The slope in SWedge is defined by TWO planes referred to as the Slope and the Upper Face.

Slope and the Upper Face

The Dip Directions of the Slope Face and Upper Face do not have to be the same (i.e. the crest of the slope does not have to be horizontal).

To define the slope properties:

  1. Select Input Data from the toolbar or the Analysis menu.
  2. Select the Slope tab in the Input Data dialog and enter the following slope properties:

    Slope Height

    Rock Unit Weight

  4. Optional Slope Properties - the following slope parameters are optional, and can be enabled by selecting the appropriate check box(es) in the Input Data dialog:

Slope Length

Bench Width

Overhanging Slope

Tension Crack

Minimum Wedge Size

Use Slope Dip Direction
